Day 5: Cold Morning Reflection

Driving along Stevens Pond just after sunrise this morning, the reflections of the pine trees from the other side caught my eye. The thawing ice on the pond made the refleted tree tops seem out of place. As I moved along the edge of the pond, I spooked some Candian geese that frantically swam across the water, making ripples and wrecking my next shot.

  2. At first I thought you posted it upside down.

  3. It's great to see that this photo takes a while to figure out for most people. That was the intent when I took it....create a photo that requires one to look at it longer than 5 seconds to realize what it is.

  4. I did the same double-take . . . thought it was upside down! I love how the ice prevents the entire reflection of the trees - very unique.
